Boat Rental Requirements and Information
- Must be 25 years or older to rent
- Boater’s safety license required if born after 12/31/87. A valid boaters safety licenses from another state is reciprocal.
- No towing, nighttime driving, smoking or grilling allowed
- Must stay within designated boundaries & out of the Gulf of Mexico
- Must have a designated non-drinking driver
Please note: Anything you take with you may get wet.
Pontoon safety tutorial: We provide you with instruction on the proper use of the vessel, review Florida SB606, maps of the area, and all USCG required safety gear is included in your rental.
If you are fishing, you will need a Florida Fishing License.

- Captain MUST an be experienced boater, no exceptions. Driving a jet ski, for instance, would not qualify the individual as an experienced boater. Captain must be able to demonstrate parking in and out of marina slip as well as know the rules of the waterway and all USCG guidelines.
- Captain must be 25 years or older to rent
- Boater’s safety license required if born after 12/31/87: https://www.boatus.org/florida/
- No towing allowed
- Stay out of the Gulf of Mexico, east of the Florida/Alabama line and west of Navarre Beach (boundary map onboard)
- Do not operate the boats at night
- No smoking or grilling aboard the vessel
- Must have a designated non-drinking driver

The boat is supplied with a full tank of gas upon departure, a Mermaid Crew Member will refill your tank when you return. The credit card on file will be charged at current marina fuel prices.
